Patients, visitors, staff, and vendors, all moving through the same buildings, all depending on the same signals. TechScapes designs that technology landscape as one system: wayfinding, real-time location, workflow, and context-aware information.
Every layer is a proven platform. TechScapes designs, integrates, and supports them as one system, so the building, the app, and the workflow always agree.
Physical and digital signage planned, produced, and managed as one system, so the door plaque, the kiosk, and the app never disagree.
Turn-by-turn navigation for everyone who moves: patients and visitors, but also the float nurse on an unfamiliar unit and the contractor hunting for a mechanical room. Accessibility routes, multi-language support, 3D maps, and kiosks.
Location that turns into action: task dispatch, patient flow, asset tracking, staff safety, environmental monitoring. The operational nervous system of the campus.
Screens and directories that know where they are and who they serve: wait times, service updates, directions, and announcements, in the right language at the right moment.
A day in a hospital where the landscape works:
TechScapes was founded by Alan Tangen, who has spent more than twenty years navigating complex systems for hospitals, and sometimes getting lost in them. The physical kind: campuses that grew wing by wing across a century. And the technology kind: the overlapping platforms every hospital has already bought. Most recently, he led the Americas healthcare business for a global indoor wayfinding company.
That experience built two convictions. Hospitals usually own more capability than they realize: a robust Wi-Fi network, for example, may already be most of a location system. And what’s missing is rarely another product. It’s the integrator who designs the whole landscape so it works as one, feels effortless to a patient having a hard day, and disappears for the staff having a busy one.
Whether you run one hospital or a health system, the first conversation is easy.
